Know the properties of metals.

Know the difference between:  Mass, density, volume, and weight.  Know what I use to measure them.

Know the parts of an atom and their charges.

Know how the periodic table is arranged.  Where are similar elements placed?  Which elements have similar properties?  What does the periodic table consists the most of?

Know how to tell the number of elements in a formula.  Know how many atoms of each element there is in a formula. 

Know what particles are called when arranged in regular geometric patterns.

Know the states of matter.  Know what causes them to change forms.  Know what happens to the particles.

Know what a mixture is.
